Born and raised in beautiful Washington State, I have always been attracted to the outdoors and worldwide exploration.
While attending college at the University of Washington I did independent study in Tanzania and learned to speak KiSwahili. After graduating with a double major in Anthropology and Community, Environment, and Planning I took to the desert; exploring the canyons and expanding my horizons. Working as a stone mason in the Grand Canyon, and a chainsawyer in Escalante, UT I spent most every night underneath the beautiful stars of the Southwest.
My desire to explore led me to a life of international vagabonding and on the fly travel. I've visited every inhabited continent on this planet to travel, learn language, study culture, go trekking or rock climb. I love people, and all of our quirky cultural differences. I've come to Zion Adventure Company to share my love of canyoneering, the outdoors, and rock climbing.
